Throughout 2022, hap Solutions Group has been raising awareness and money for Beechwood Cancer Care. The team completed the Yorkshire 3 peaks, charity bake-off, football matches, Christmas jumper day and many more events to raise funds for this great local charity.

They’ve had some fantastic ideas to help raise awareness and funds in a variety of different ways (all of them fun ). Yorkshire 3 peaks
The team started the year of strong by taking on the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge! 17 members of the team walked 24 miles in under 12 hours and raised £4000+. This was a massive achievement, and everyone was so proud of the 17 members who completed the challenge. “I really enjoyed completing the Yorkshire three peaks, it was more challenging than I expected. The feeling of accomplishment at the end made the feeling of raising money for charity even more rewarding.” – Jamie, Staff Support Supervisor
Bake-off
Our annual bake-off competition is a highlight in everyone’s calendars in the hap HQ. This year we added a twist and asked for donations to Beechwood Cancer Care each week! We had an abundance of brownies, cupcakes, and lots more! ‘My personal bakeoff highlight was when Ellie Biggerstaff made an Irish pudding called 15’s’ – Millie Haydn. ‘Bakeoff has been such a good way to raise money for Beechwood – and we all get to eat cake every week! What more could we ask for!’ – Erin McLeod
Football Match
In October, the hap team went to Stockport Power League to play a game of 7-a-side. This was a fantastic team-building event as well as a great opportunity to raise money for a good cause.

Millie, Social Media Manager – Beechwood Cancer Care, supported my grandad and my family when he was diagnosed with cancer and after he sadly passed away. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to thank the charity and fundraise for them over the year. Supporting Beechwood has brought the team together, and we have all really enjoyed the fundraising events.
Sophie, Staffing Assistant – Beechwood, were there for my family within minutes of us finding out my Dad’s cancer was terminal. They offered counselling sessions, treatments and just a place for us all to go and feel supported. My mum visited Beechwood for around 6 months during and after my dad’s passing, and we are all so grateful for the “open door” it provided for her to feel heard and understood. I was very pleased when I started at hap to find that this was the charity we were fundraising for. It’s great that the money we have raised will be going to such an amazing cause and helping other families in their time of need.
