This week Jonah is coming to the end of his year in industry at hap Solutions Group. Jonah is in his placement year at The Manchester Metropolitan University and is studying Business and Marketing. In his spare time, he runs an event called ‘That’s That’. Over the year he was with us, we have supported his professional development and given him insight into the flexible staffing industry!

‘It’s crazy to think that my time at hap solutions has come to an end. 14 months of experience and time spent gaining skills that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I can remember how anxious I was when I started, but I quickly found my feet, and that’s all thanks to the amazing people who work here. Whenever anyone asks what the best part of my placement has been, I always say it’s the people I’ve met. I’ve made friends for life and built relationships much closer with my colleagues than I could have ever imagined when I started. Special shout out to Aidan, Ellie, Theo, Zain, Sophie, Amy, Lydia, Kieran, Millie… the list could go on and on. For me, one of the highlights of my time here would be going to Electric Picnic as part of the on-site operations team; that was so much fun and an unreal experience to round off a first summer of hard work. A second highlight would be getting promoted to Festivals and Events staffing manager for the final part of my time at hap. I have actually been managing staff deployment to festivals, and gaining so many invaluable skills in the role, such as client relations, time management, and even improving my people skills. Of course, my time at hap has had its ups and downs, it’s been stressful and hectic, but it has been so worth it. I’ve now got so much confidence, and I’m feeling really motivated as I go back to uni to finish my final year. I’m so glad I took this year out to gain industry experience, and I can’t thank everyone in the hap team enough for giving me this unforgettable opportunity’. – Jonah Farrow
‘Not only me but the whole team at hap are going to miss Jonah! He is such a massive presence in the office. He always offers his help to anyone that may need it. He has trained new starters within the business and has also helped me a lot over the Winter in preparing our Festival & Events calendar. Over the last year, whilst managing Jonah, I have watched him grow and his work ethic as a whole excel. His positive attitude and his eagerness to take on anything thrown his way never goes unnoticed, he has been such an asset to the team, and I wish him the best of luck for the future!’ – Amy Allen
